What is a Contact group?

- Contact the GroupContact groups are formed when you add a few email addresses to create a group. You don’t have to send each email individually. Instead, you can send the same message in one go to more than 10 people with contact group.
Why hide names in contact groups?
As a gesture of goodwill, you may email your colleague or friend. However, sometimes they don’t like their personal information to be shared with any other. It may also include an email address. It is possible to mask email addresses because of compliance or data protection concerns. If there’s any kind of financial or business information stored in the email, then you will be bound to keep that email’s identity private.
Email addresses can be used to link the user with the person they are corresponding with through their individual information. You should never share the personal information of an addressee if you share any information by email.
Here’s how you can hide the SBCGlobal and other service provider email addresses in the group.
BCC is the best option to hide names. It is easy to apply and it is simple.
BCC stands for blind carbon copy. One possibility is that you used the carbon copy or CC option to add the secondary email address. The only difference in the BCC and the CC is that former one displays the sender’s and recipient’s address.
People whose email addresses are entered in the BCC field won’t be able to see the email address entered in the ‘CC’ field. You can’t click on the ‘Reply all’ option.
The BCC field is not available directly on the email screen, you have to add it manually by click on ‘BCC’ given under ‘Outlook’.
You will get the ‘BCC field’ on the ‘Compose email’ screen right after this. This step is only necessary once. In future emails, the BCC option will be displayed automatically.
Start entering the addresses in the ‘BCC’ field and your address in the ‘To’ field.
The mail will be delivered to the addressee immediately. However, the recipient will not receive any details about the email addresses of any other recipients.
